Mountain View, CA
About once every week this blog has yet another visit from someone in the Mountain View area. (This shows up on the Feedjit visitor bar, to the right - you may need to scroll down to see it.) Now I say 'area' because that's what shows up, but my frequent visitor(s) could be from another small town in the vicinity. Ben Lomond, for example. (Sometimes my own visits to this blog show up as a town about 40 miles from my computer.) My Mountain View visitor could be the same person stopping by again and again to check on things, or it could be a handful of different people visiting from Google.
You might even be searching for the Pam Hawk at Periodik or the Pam Hawk Real Estate Professional and you ended up here. Those two are in California, there's me up in Oregon, another couple of gals named Pam Hawk in Ohio and I think maybe another one of us in Pennsylvania. There aren't very many women with this name and I'm proud to be one of them. (Yes, you heard it here first: I'm a Dork. With a capital D.)
Either way, I'm intrigued, since I don't really know anyone in CA, it makes me smile every time I see another visit from Mountain View.
Because of the frequent visits, I'd like to send a plate of cookies to Mountain View to say thank you for visiting.
If you're from Mountain View, will you please add a comment with a link so I can contact you? Or just email me at pam[at]passitonplates[dot]com.
Thanks! :o)
Oh, heck. If your name is Pam Hawk and you live anywhere in the world, drop me a line via email for your free plate, too.

Poppy Paradise
When I started out, I had no idea what my name was. Read my blog post to find out more about my identity crisis. Thank you to Adrienne for thinking up a great name for me.
I think my new name "Poppy Paradise" is very appropriate.
(Even though I do think of Roosters when I look in the mirror, too! LOL)
Here's a close up of some of my flowers. I was chosen for my bold, bright colors and because I look like fun, happy gift wrap.
As part of our big THANK YOU to Adrienne for thinking up the winning name, we encourage everyone to please visit her website and check out her fun and eclectic hand painted things from clothing to glassware, furniture, and *gasp!* hand-painted SHOES: www.dreaminbohemian.com
When this particular PlateWrap sells, a link to this blog article will be included on the online diary of every plate traveling with this PlateWrap. (See Plate #200709080005.) When the Pass It On Plate travels with the Poppy Paradise PlateWrap travels from person to person, they'll be invited to visit Adrienne's site when they read and/or write a message on that plate's online diary.
We sew tags into every PlateWrap, naming the seamstress who made it. Every Poppy Paradise PlateWrap will also carry a special tag that says Adrienne named this PlateWrap fabric.
Thanks again, Adrienne, and congratulations!

This fabric jumped out while on the search for fun cat and dog fabrics. It wasn't on the shopping list that day, but the bright happy retro scandinavian-flavored pattern was irresistable.
We only bought enough for 15 PlateWraps, so at this time they're a limited edition. Hopefully we'll be able to get more and make this one of our regulars.
The band around the backside of the PlateWrap will be the loose and wiggly black and white stripe seen on the left.
A new PlateWrap... from the land of coffee
Because coffee is a standard Pacific Northwest blood type, it was only natural that we would gravitate toward our favorite flavor in PlateWraps. After all, (other than milk, of course) what's better than coffee when you have a plate of cookies, coffee cake (hellooo!), brownies, sweet bread, cinnamon rolls...
The random striped fabric shown at the top will make up the band around the underside of the PlateWrap. Delicious.
Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Cat
Here is another one of the new fabrics being sewn into PlateWraps this week. These are a limited edition and will only be available at Cause 4 Paws, a benefit Art Show for the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.
If you want one, come see us at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, by the D-Lake beach access in Lincoln City, Oregon on Saturday May 24, 2008!
