Oh my goodness, we had a lot of entries and I wish I could send a plate to everyone who entered. If you entered, please check back again for another giveaway early into 2009. Hopefully you'll win the next plate.

Meanwhile, please check out Beeb's blogs. I perused her Super Coupon Girl blog and holy smokes, she is one smart cookie. I couldn't believe how clever she was to dumpster dive for savings. You have to read it to see what she did. I'm gonna have to try that. And she looks so glamorous as she sits there with her pile of stuff. I love it.

How did PIOP start?

Pam & Frank like to have friends over for meals and fun. Most guests bring food to share, and everyone has a great time. One day Pam realized she had a "mystery plate" in her cupboard from one or more of these such gatherings.

None of her sisters or friends claimed the plate, so their daughter pulled a special paint pen out of the craft drawer and wrote "Share Your Food" on the plate. They cured the paint according to the instructions on the pen and an idea was born.

Pass It On Plates are designed to travel from one home to another, loaded with food or other treats.

To add to the fun, Pam created a Plate Diary for each Pass It On Plate. The unique number written on the underside of each plate corresponds with an online diary for that plate, which tells the story of its journey.

Of course, none of this would have come about without inspiration, suggestions, and help from friends, relatives, dinner parties, pot luck dinners, Pam & Frank's semi-regular "friends-n-family board game night," kind neighbors, food days at work, and a few local businesses.
