Pass It On Plates help you live green because they eliminate the need for paper or styrofoam plates, they are re-giftable, so you can wash them and pass them on, using them again and again. The cloth PlateWrap replaces any need for paper gift wrap, which can be hard to recycle and creates more waste.
Plus - food gifts are shared (or hoarded) and eaten, so this gift doesn't contribute to clutter, end up in a garage sale or thrift store, or (gasp!) needs to be secretly disposed of. (Unless the cookies are terrible but then you can feed them to the dog.)

Did we mention that you are supposed to give the plate away? Holy cow, that means you can give a totally memorable gift to someone special without breaking the bank. How great is that??
Apple Tree open, originally uploaded by passitonplates.
Isn't this fresh and fun? This apple fabric is a very very limited edition from our Wisconsin studio. It's not listed in Etsy, it's not being sold at any fairs or shows, it's not in stores...
You can't get it anywhere except in this giveaway.

First of all I have to say this would be the perfect Gift away prize for me to give. I live in the Apple Capital of the World....really that is our towns slogan!
ReplyDeleteI have chosen: http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?name=ViewListing&product_id=95679&main_cat_id=80
This sandwich wrap would be great for all those little kiddies you send off to school with their homemade lunches. If all the children took one of these instead of a plastic baggie just think how much greener our earth could be.
Oh Moushka, that's a great idea. I love the sandwich wrap idea. (And you're right. The Wenatchee area has tons of apples... I'm just over/down in Salem, on the edge of Washington's "appledom.")

Great giveaway! I have chosen Etsy:

Here is one of my favorite things:

I bought them for my sister for Christmas. She uses them when she grocery shops instead of the plastic fruit/veggie bags- in her reusable shopping tote, of course!

Island Girl, those bags are a lot more fun than the boring canvas ones my grocery store sells. Love the polka dots.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristie, those bags are a great idea. I never even thought about those plastic bags, but I buy in bulk and use tons of them. Smart thinking. (And I like the embroidery on the bags.)
New Jersey Girl - cool lunch bag design. That would probably hold my big dish of salad, and keep it flat. The handle design is clever, too.
Sarah - Art on a shopping bag. Beautiful.
I think the Recycled Lunch Bag would be a great way for my daughter to carry her lunch to work without the need to waste bags.

Judybrittle, that lunch bag is the coolest looking lunch bag. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how she fuses the plastic on her bags? Anyway, I want one. Thanks you for pointing it out!
I love the Recycled Lunch Bag (http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?name=ViewListing&product_id=67937&main_cat_id=80). My family made a commitment this year to try to be more "green" this year.
ReplyDeleteI also love the plate idea. Thanks for the giveaway!
